Contemporary figurative painting

As a figurative artist, I mainly work with portraits and human figures. It may come as no surprise that we humans are complex creatures, hard to understand. It is my profound passion to be able to capture intense emotion and deep feeling.

In my work, I experiment with instilling a sense of traditional art into modern expressionism. Vibrant colours, textured flesh and raw emotion - are what may jump into the eye of the viewer. I enjoy capturing the ambiguity of human nature - while some of my scenes are direct, others are more complicated and will leave you questioning the story, as there is never a definite scenario.
