How does the process begin?
Every commission is very unique and individual for every customer, and there is no direct pricing or a guide as to how it is made. But the first questions that I will ask are:
Who is the painting of?
What is the size and medium? (i.e. oil on canvas, size A3)
What do you want to see in this painting? (i.e. patterns, abstract colours).
Are you going to provide me reference pictures or should set up a photo shoot?
What is the budget that you have in mind?
And lastly…
How should the paintings be delivered?
And pretty much from these answers, we will be ready to go! Commissions are very personal for you and same for me! So in this process, I would pretty much like to have a good conversation before, getting to know the subject (if it’s not a surprise piece)!
